My Research Contributions

My research contributions span artificial intelligence, signal and image processing, embedded systems, and applied computational intelligence. These works are focused on developing innovative, practical solutions to real-world problems across healthcare, communication systems, optimization, and intelligent systems.

Key Research Contributions

  • Development of novel approaches for detecting vascular intersections in retinal fundus images, applied to the monitoring and grading of diabetes severity in humans.
  • Design of artificial intelligence–based methods for estimating Autoregressive (AR) and Autoregressive Moving Average (ARMA) model parameters from both real-valued and complex-valued data.
  • Proposal of new data classification techniques based on artificial intelligence, applicable to diverse signal and image datasets.
  • Development, implementation, and long-term evaluation of a hybrid optimization framework combining Genetic Algorithms and K-Means clustering.
  • Design and implementation of cognitive phone systems and intelligent handover techniques for multiple-operator-enabled SIM cards.
  • Embedded system development, repair, and maintenance for public-sector and specialized applications.
  • Active engagement in teaching, supervision, mentoring, and leadership for students and academic colleagues.

Application Areas of Research

My research outputs have been successfully applied to solving problems across a wide range of domains, including diabetes modelling, detection, and prediction; fruit identification and grading; handover decision-making in mobile communication systems; Colpitts oscillator design; spectrum sensing in cognitive radio; earthquake prediction; gold and silver price forecasting; route optimization; biometric systems; and scorpion vibration detection, among others.

Beyond academic dissemination, several of my research discoveries are being scaled into commercial ventures, with multiple patent filings in progress. My work has also received coverage in both print and online media. In addition, aspects of my research have been exhibited at various national and international events, earning awards and resulting in publications in high-impact journals and reputable international conference proceedings.
